Ovelos in Offenbach

Far beyond the conventional Greek cuisine in Germany. The meals are prepared freshly and with dedication, whereby the owner is really a hospitable and warm-hearted person in his way.

Here the cook makes the music. The Greek authentic and delicious food is prepared by the owner, who likes to distribute ouzo at a late hour.

Good food, nice service, moderate prices in a cozy atmosphere with good music. Even the boss insists on it and asks again. All in all a very good impression - unfortunately today was the last day for indoor dining, starting tomorrow only at the window to be picked up, but we must all go through this interim lockdown! And hold on !!

Much too overpriced! 2 portions of gyros in pita which are really small with 2 cokes and 1 portion of small fries with tzatziki for just under 20 euros. The fries were really bad. The gyros itself was so well. The meat was very dry and tasted slightly rancid. Never again will there be much better gyro shops in Offenbach. Are all cheaper and much better in quality. Never again!

Thursday evening around 7.30 p.m. the meat on the spit is as big as an orange. Unintelligible, dry it comes to the table 20 minutes later in the pita, packed with poor-tasting fries. The second star for the extremely nice service.

You can feel the love and passion that comes from the chef (who cooks himself every day). Loud music, wild goings-on, steaming pots ... here is something going on. But don't expect culinary quantum leaps. This is fast food. Unfortunately, the meat is often a bit dry from the grilled dishes. We therefore rather swear by the vegetarian dishes and would be happy about more variety in this regard!

A 1/4 hour after I ordered a gyro and a drink outside, I was told that everything was reserved outside and I should take a seat inside. Inside: Too loud, too uncomfortable. Then I went. Since my appetite has passed, the gyros packaged to go are now lying around here and nobody wants it. Disappointing restaurant visit ...

The Owner is literally the nicest Person ever. We ordered and went for pick up. Unfortunately there was no Gyros because he ran out. So he added some greek Sausages to our food. i was skeptical at first because my husband doesnt eat sausages. But i took it anyway, and was sooo happy about it after.The sausages were absolutely delicious, well spiced and fried to perfection.Our food also had some fries which were super delicious and stickmeat (try the chicken with senfsoße and thank me later)the chicken was juicy and i wanted to cry as it was finished ? the pita bread was soft and fresh. same with the greek bauernsalat we ordered additionally. 6,90€ and it was HUGE. the portions are big and the food is super fresh in genereal. We even got a bottle of wine as an excuse for the missing gyros. iam so grateful for this beautiful restaurant and the treatment we received from the owener. He truely loves his job. it reflects in his entire presence.absolutely recommendable. Thank you so much for the amazing food. we will surely be back.

Hidden Gem! Fantastic food, especially the pitas. The prices are extremely attractive as well. Love it and I wish I could visit more often

Excellent and authentic! Andreas (the owner) is the best- greek hospitality at it’s finest. Service is very welcoming, I can really recommend it. A real greek experience, like holidays on Kreta (my favourite island)!

Nice restaurant, comfortably furnished, friendly service. Salad and appetizers were delicious, twice meat (lamb or chicken on a spit) unfortunately a bit dry and too dark. I would turn off mustard sauce with chicken or request separately, unfortunately it did not suit me at all. French fries were delicious.

The fish was great.Well cooked. The staff (All females ;-) is very friendly and with a smile on their faces.The service was good. Try to get seats outside.Better reserve the saets by calling.

I absolutely love Ovelos. After I left Offenbach I started to notice a certain itch at the back of my tongue I couldn't quite scratch. When I returned to visit my family and friends a few month later I finally realized what it was: I missed the outstandingly delicious cousine that Ovelos. I immediately set out to pay this place a visit - the perfect blend between a cozy restaurant and hip hangout area. When I look at the menu I marvel: how can food be so fresh, yet so democratic? Everytime I come back to Offenbach, I visit Ovelos, first thing. Such is my enjoyment in going there.

The food are delicious and coming with really good prices. You can eat from a small snack up to a big portion of food. Many wine choices from Greece. It has a small cozy but nice decorated atmosphere. They play nice music also. So if you want to eat Greek food that's the right address to go..

Amazing food and very friendly staff. Taste is unique and its a must try type of food if in Offenbach! One plate is more than enough , and usually i could not eat it all , and a small tip from me , try PITA because its suuuuuper teasy with a plate like the one on the picture i posted.

Best Greek in town! The place has very very special Meat from all over the world depends on season. Take all the homemade stuff from the card and you can do nothing wrong. The host is one of the most sympatic guy i have ever met you can see that he is in love with food. Try it and u ll always come again.
